CCS-Express is supporting the Austrian cyclist Jana Gigele for the current season. The athlete competes in road races in the Austrian Cycling League and in UCI races. In addition she participates in the UCI Gravel World Series as an individual starter.

For the 2024 season she will present the CCS-Express logo on her own jersey at the UCI Gravel World Series. The big goal is to qualify for the Gravel World Championships. She already achieved this goal in the first UCI Gravel race at the Wörthersee (AUT).

By supporting young athletes, we want to live up to our social responsibility and promote sports. We have also been following Jana’s path into cycling for some time and would like to support her in achieving her goals.

Jana Gigele: From alpine ski racing to cycling

The 26-year-old Austrian Jana Gigele visited the skiing academy in Stams and competed as a professional alpine ski racer in FIS and European Cup races. At the age of 20, she had to give up alpine skiing due to an injury. A few years later she followed her second passion, cycling.

The all-rounder is competing in the road races for the women's team ARBÖ Rapso Knittelfeld, for which she has already scored her first UCI points this season. In addition to the road race, Jana Gigele is also competing in the up-and-coming discipline gravel. At the UCI Gravel Wörthersee race, Gigele took already the sixth place and showed that she can keep up with the world elite. The highlight of the season is the UCI Gravel World Championships in Halle-Leuven, Belgium, at the beginning of October.
