Our history
Many years of experience
We help our customers get their goods to the right place at the right time. And we have been doing this for 35 years. We keep our finger on the pulse of an ever-changing industry.
1988
CCS-Express is founded by Kurt Ebert, Hans Bauer and Norbert Keck at the old Munich Riem airport. The name reflects the initial core business: Customs Clearance Services.
1990
CCS-Express begins to build up an international network of transport agents.
1992
With the opening of the new airport in Freising, CCS-Express is also moving to a larger building. The new location is once again in close proximity to the new MUC airport.
1993
Establishment of our own courier division for national and international transport.
1994
- Joined the IFA freight organisation to operate globally
- Increased expansion of warehousing services and development of in-house software solutions with 24/7 service for urgent deliveries
From 1994
Opening of new warehouses throughout Europe
- SSL (Strategic Stock Locations) are established close to customers
1995
Opening of the Frankfurt am Main branch.
2000
Opening of the Cologne branch
- Opening of the warehouses in Dublin (Ireland) and Tel Aviv (Israel)
- This enables us to offer logistics services close to our customers.
2001
Opening of the Hamburg office and development of the sea freight business.
From 2013
Expansion of the service offering with a focus on the areas of e-commerce and fulfilment.
2021
Maxi Ebert joins the company as Managing Partner
